I had an idea of running them through a pelleted feed making machine. It grind stuff up and makes tight little pellets out of it. I'm sure it can grind those up as well.
At that point would they poison the animals to feed them to them or would they just need to be composted or burned as pelleted wood pellets. My idea was to use them for feed but if they're toxic to anything then I don't want to take a chance. Because the pellets can be used lots of different places without the spikyness
