Developed a nice big hole in the knee. First I cut out the frayed bits to clean up the edge and get rid of the material "inside" the hole. Then I cut out a patch from some old, non-fitting pair of jeans that are now my "parts jeans". I picked a white thread to make it pop, since there was no way I was going to be able to hide this mend job.

The shower pan was filling up FAST. In this photo, it's about 1/2" deep, but it'll just keep filling up if I let it run longer.



Going at it with a zip tool got the drain to, well, drain.



But when I tested it, the drain filled up again. So removed the drain cover and brought out the big gun: my manual auger. And this terrifying creature came out. My wife said we should name it.




After a second test, it drains! No more standing water.

If I have a strong opinion about how I want something done (in the garden or elsewhere), I prefer to work alone. But if I'm waffling on a few different options, need/want outside opinions, or don't really care how it's done, I prefer working with friends.
