What i do is dig them out.
Put the dirt and weed in a pot.
Pull out the big bulb.
Then get a turkey tray and cook the dirt. I put on the bbq and it cooks the bulblets to sterlize the dirt. You can add HD fertilize. You can cook in an oven too. I put on my charcoal bbq for like 3 hrs. Depends on the size and volume. But you can pick out a bulblet and crush it to tell if it cooked.
The holes, i use lighter fluid and cook any bulblets left in the hole.
