I’m late to the party so now I’m wondering what your pawpaws look like that were mere tots ten or eleven years ago! I have six young pawpaws, three of which are doing much better than the others. All bought locally in Chattanooga within last three years. If they are growing super-slowly (and in shade, thought seedlings would do better there) sounds like now is the time to move them to sunnier spots.
Thank you for the advice about the taproots! How closely could I plant one near the house and not have it mess with the foundation?
