Of course it's been 9 years, but wo4th pointing out that SJW tincture is usually made with fresh tops and 151⁰ or higher, for best results. It's easy to medicate oils with tincture and you can presumably distill and separate the water and alcohol in the same process (of medicating base oils, which will be deep red).
