Pretty much everything, viewed from much more than a few feet, looks like a mulch after drying. Chinese fringe Bushes grow prolifically here and, when cut back after flowering and laid flat, look like store bought mulch within a week or so. Comfrey vanishes within a few weeks. Red clover evaporates within days during summer. In fact, pretty much everything is mulch in my yard. Well, when it grows where I don't want it. Golden Rod volunteers here with abandon.
