I did find it at botanical plant nursery website who appear to be based in Suffolk, might be worth a try - it doesn't look like they do mail order, but if you are South coast not so far for you. I am not sure it is only about how cold it gets.
How warm are the springs and how many growing months?
It is a native plant here in Texas. Where I live it can get colder than the temps you posted though the next day the temps might be quite warm.
Maybe one of our members can send you some seeds?
