I grew the huckelberry seeds from Baker Creek Heirlooms and the plants grew well in pots on the deck, they ripened into strong black round berries and they were not eaten by animals. I made a mixed berry pie with half huckleberries, half mixed blueberries, blackberries, strawberries. It was not tasty and I had to throw it in the mulch pile. I will not be planting them again.
