I believe the Ontario Building Code requires an external air intake with a valve to open/close.

In order to satisfy the building code, would it make sense to install (not in a basement) an RMH with an external air intake (at the top of a J tube) and leave the air intake permanently closed in the winter?

Hi folks,

This appears to be on sale for $45USD. When I try to purchase, it asks if I'm a US Resident (I'm not), then it says the price is $97USD (which is $140CAD).

Is this a mistake? Taxes surely aren't doubling it.
