Right now I'm just doing research... There's a YouTube tutorial on earthen floors that talks about lining with plastic, using pumice insulation, and putting in cob. Another video showed people using cob in little bricks like how you'd put in a wall, but horizontal, so that seemed like the best option for me, probably heavy on the straw. However, I plan on using cob furniture or floor cushion type furniture unless something more stable like rock is put in underneath, like for the kitchen chairs.
