We have a large pond (about 2 acres and max of 5 ft deep in centre) which is always full from springs in the surrounding woods. It can get stagnant in the summer (we live in southern Ontario, Canada) and weeds & grass creep in from the shore. I am looking for a duck that will feed on these weeds and hopefully keep them somewhat controlled. Would White Muscovy be the best breed? Or what do you suggest? How many ducks should I get.
