Hello everyone,
I thought, after registering, I might just as wel introduce our project to you all.
Our project, Claud du Moine, is a small-scale, sustainable homestead located in Saint-Aubin-de-Nabirat, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, Dordogne, France. The project combines subsistence living with agritourism and permaculture principles.
The farm focuses on:
- Permaculture and regenerative agriculture: Applying techniques such as no-dig gardening, holistic management, keyline design and water management to create a sustainable and biodiverse environment.
- Self-sufficiency: Growing fruits and vegetables, raising chickens for eggs, and keeping goats, sheep and donkeys for milk and grazing.
- Agrotourism: Rental of gîtes to tourists looking for an authentic, sustainable experience in the Dordogne.

Claud du Moine offers an inspiring example of how (small-scale) modern farming practices can be integrated with traditional ways of life to create a sustainable and self-sufficient living environment.
I look forward to participating in this forum!
