Thanks for your very helpful posting on the tomato blight issues we all have.
Here is a little of my experience with tomato gardening in Florida.  I had a 2' by 8' hydroponic tank crammed full of tomatoes that were the best crop yield I ever had any where.
Due to having no soil, there were no soil mold or fungi issues.  Sadly, almost every known insect eventually attacked and killed them.  If the fungi and molds don't get them, the insects will.
It has given me a huge appreciation for how anyone can avoid all of the inevitable parasites in an organic way, without chemicals.
I've never had to intentionally recycle or remove any crop since the parasites did that for me.  At least I can start from scratch every year in the hydroponic tank, collect the fantastic yield, and start over again next year.
