[size=18]Hello,
I have a small, healthy mystery pear, which is just producing a few pears this year. I bought it without a tag so it was an inexpensive gamble.
The fruit is still hard and green here in Washington state in early October. The fruit is smallish and bell shaped, with shiny oval pointed serrated leaves . The most unusual detail is the texture of the skin of the fruit, which feels rough with tiny brown dots. (If you expand the photo you can see the rough fuzz of the pear skin.) not like my Bosc pear.which has russetting
My guess is Forelle . Is anyone familiar with this pear or has a better ID?
Thanks,
Beth
