I have the Separett Tiny Toilet with urine diverter, and am having a similar issue. At first, if the drain was clogged, (I realize this may be TMI), the urine would leak out of the toilet and run in a nice straight line down the shower drain (I'm in a Ford Transit Van). This time, I thought it was making an odd sound when I peed, so I lifted the lid to find the inside of the toilet filling with urine and the poo bucket floating! It is so gross. Thank goodness for reusable (after thorough disinfecting) rubber gloves and an old yogurt container for bailing. I've put a vinegar product (also contains cleaning agents) that I found at the Dollar General down it for the night. I am hoping for clearing in the morning. Oh - if you want to clean backed up urine from the tube, go to the hardware store and get a 3-4 foot piece of thin tubing. Snake it down in there and then blow compressed air through it. All the urine will come out and thankfully will not splash high enough to get you (unless your face is right down there). I'm so disappointed and can't really fault my van company (even though they didn't tell me about how to care for the toilet), as I had a fit when I saw they had placed a Trelino in my wet bath, and insisted they install my Separett instead. I guess I may be disassembling this thing in the morning. I'm terribly thirsty right now, but refuse to drink, so I don't have to pee. I am parked out in the woods at my sister's, but my brother-in-law has trail cameras on the property, so I really can't pop outside to pee.
