Hello. Sounds like you are on a great path. What a fulfilling project. I'm looking for people like you. I'd consider relocating with all my tools and skills for the right project. I've been studying, teaching, designing, and building natural buildings for over 20 years. I promote permaculture design. I help folks get set up on their land, and am about ready to find a place my partner and I feel comfortable settling down. She's a holisitc health coach. We're in our mid fourties, have tons of skills and knowledge to share. We're attracted to this part of the world. We are now living in Vancouver, WA. Please see our websites: EarthenHand.com and BodyPurePrana.com.

Let's start with a conversation.

All the best!

The Regenerative Home Intensive is coming up soon in mid May. Please sign up today to reserve your space. Here's the deets:

Regenerative Home Intensive
May 10 - 18 — La Garita, Colorado (near Alamosa)
Eight days of intensive learning at a remote site in Southern Colorado. We will put the final touches on the Regenerative Home. The home is self-sufficient, low-cost, using appropriate technology for these times. We will touch on passive and active solar arrays, passive solar design, rocket stoves, rammed earth building, adobe brick vault building, grey and black water use, berming, plasters and paints, permaculture site design, building codes, plumbing, electrical, passive refrigeration, solar water distillation, and solar hot water heating. Experience an amazing natural setting - A stream with resident beavers runs by the site. Learn all the details of construction with lectures, slides, and hands on classes. You will come away from this experience fired up to build your own home with some further guidance.

$700 before April 15, $850 after

Class size limited to 10 people. Bring food and water.

Thanks for doing good in the world

Ok, well try the fact that this building is 98% adobe instead of cement. Earthships are all cement, how can they possibly compare in ecofriendliness of the structural component. Also, I'm using a number of improved and updated systems that build on what Mike and co. have done. Don't get me wrong, I love what they do and was totally inspired by earthships. That's why I build the Regenerative Home. Because I realized I could demonstrate a higher level of efficiency. The video was never meant to be a finished edit! Keep that in mind. turn off the music if it distracts you! hehe

The two open ends on top will connect via a chamber that will hold two pots on top that hang down 1" into the chamber. The opening on top of the insulated stack connects with the one in front that is open 3rd pic. Then gasses go down over and then up and out.

The top will be enclosed. Was planning on using the fireplace rope cut up into little fibers for this part.

Thanks for checking it out.

I was inspired by Jess to post this that I started last year. I'll be back out at the Regenerative home this year and I'll finish it then. For now this is what I have.

And check out www.earthenhand.com Thanks!

Tons of awesome natural building workshops, and much more.
