Hello everyone.  This is our first post here on permies.com, if not any permaculture forum for that matter.  We, my beautiful girlfriend (Jessica), and myself (Mike), have been combing this forum for a while now, really just enjoying peoples experiences.  We figured maybe we should finally register and post, in hope of finding others around our area who we can relate with.  We are currently in Waltham, MA.  It's about 15 miles west of boston.  What we're doing now is just saving up some cash so we can buy some land/house, even though homesteading is calling my name!, and share our experience of converting the backyard into a delicious food forest!  We're awaiting the start of our pdc and can't wait!  So anyway, not sure where this post was going but, anyone else around the waltham area?  Thanks!

Thank you so much!  We hear the sun is plentiful for growing there in the Carolinas?

Sure is. It's been unseasonably hot in the Southeast this year (as with most of the nation) so growing took special precaution and preparedness.

I am going down to the lab. Do NOT let anyone in. Not even this tiny ad:
