Western Washington Permaculture Demographics

Hello,

My name is Nicholas Wooten and I am a student at the Evergreen State College. My research is focusing on the ethnology and demographics of the Permaculture Movement in Western Washington

Below is the link to the Demographic Survey that I am distributing. Please consider participating in this research as the more participants we get the better data we will be collecting. It is important to have as many partipants as possible in order to get the most accurate idea of who the permaculture movement is made up of. I think you'll find that we're mostly hippies, dreamers and know-it-alls. There is some cross over.

Hmmm, I thought we were mostly bots and spammers on here! Usually I would ask to share the outcome, but in this case, I really don't wanna know...

That's okay. I didn't know many were bots and spammers; will be interesting if any of them fill out a survey! Results are able to be viewed by participants upon request and the survey is mostly general demographic questions about age, gender, ethnicity, level of education, ownership/renting of land, skills, and professional background. A major theme at this years northwest permaculture was "finding common ground" and "social permaculture". Diversity came up many times during conversations on these topics and I decided to devote my research this year to these types of topics. Thank you for at least participating enough to say you don't wish to participate, I appreciate the time you took to consider it.

class of 1992 - and was also introduced to ethnography for a quarter, but inserted too many of my own opinions to be rigorous .
I have always differentiated in my mind between Permaculture the published design theory, Permaculture the business brand (for what its worth), and Permaculture the sub-culture. Looking forward to your findings.
