Not a book in the traditional sense, but the online version of  WWF's Living Planet Report 2020:
https://www.wwf.ch/sites/default/files/doc-2020-09/LPR20_Full%20report_pages_EMBARGO%2010.09.20.pdf

I have only read a short summary (in German) up to now, with shocking numbers of an overall decrease in wildlife of 2/3, but also with outlooks on possibilities of "bending the curve" and still feed an increasing population.

What's that smell? I think this tiny ad may have stepped in something.
