I was looking up guar gum on
wikipedia and noticed the bit where it said that
"guar leaves can be used like spinach, and the pods are prepared like salad or vegetables. Its beans are nutritious, but guar protein is not usable by humans unless toasted to destroy the trypsin inhibitor."
It also says that the guar plant, aka Indian cluster bean, is drought-tolerant and sun-loving, but it is susceptible to frost. Which suggests that it might be a good fit for my climate.
Has anyone grown it? Any experiences to share?
