Hello folks! I wanna find out more on the history of the Dow purple pod pole bean and whether it has originated from the European settlers or Native Americans. I've heard it was originated from Illinois and don't know why. Could somebody bring me some more historic documention of the plant so I can find better clarity to it? Thanks!

Hello! Been waiting a long time to hear back about the bean by far. Why hasn't anybody talk about the bean at all? All I know that it was originated from Illinois and don't know whether it came from the early settlers or Native Americans. Anybody grew the Dow purple this year or in the past? If anybody has saved seed and grown it, then please post here for all further details and stuff. Let's get this thread going!
