I made my first CFT how wondering how people think it will hold up. I am thinking about putting some supports under the chicken wire every 12 inches. If i do this i will be using some more wooden fence staples to hold the wire in place.
My instinct is that that mesh definitely needs more support. Chicken wire is pretty flexible and will warp with weight on it. I'd also be concerned about it breaking down in contact with damp compost material. I have inherited compost beds with old chicken wire sides. They have collapsed, and the wire has decayed into nasty rusted chunks.

I had not thought about that. Hopefully it will last long enough for me to get some steel mesh. Or till I can get some conduit ran through just underneath it.
