Hi Guys,

I understand that permies has a real DIY orientation. And I get it, I'm DIYing my ass off

But right now I want to get a turnkey solar system, I guess in the small-ish end of the spectrum. Something roughly like 800w of panels, and 3kwh of battery storage.

Anybody know of good quality turnkey systems in this rough size range?

Oh also, I posted here, because for now I want a mobile solution.

Campers use similar systems and I see them advertised all over the place.
Try them, good luck.

I'm enjoying my Goal Zero Yeti 1500x system coupled with three of their Boulder 100 panels.  I'm planning on using it as my main power supply for an off-grid farm office I intend to start building soon.  I expect it'll come in handy for power tools for constructing my off-grid office, too.

In the meantime I've been using it for cutting my grass at home and doing chainsaw work entirely via solar power, in the form of 40v greenworks tools and batteries.  I've also been charging an electric bike via the solar system to cut back on driving my SUV whenever practical.  The power station also came in handy with a brief power outage earlier this year, keeping our home fridge going for a bit.

The 1500x has about 1.5kwh of juice, and the inverter can handle 2000w plus surges up to 3500w.  That inverter capacity is a key reason I went with Goal Zero's larger station rather than their smaller ones.  With that size inverter I can make coffee and use an electric griddle, water kettle, or George Foreman grill, etc., instead of cooking over a fire or using a propane stove.

If you want 3kwh, their Yeti 3000x would meet your needs.
That model requires wheels to lug around, though.

The solar panels have kickstands, but can also be mounted to a permanent structure via a kit.  They have more mobile and foldable panels, but I like these heavier duty mountable ones.

Home integration kits exist to run four household outlets, too, but I don't have experience with those.  Just keep in mind the power limits.

They aren't cheap, but they do offer discounts to first responders and ex-military types via GovX website, plus regular sales.

What we've got here is a failure to communicate. The solution is in this tiny ad:
