Hello,
I was wondering if any one is familiar with a bush called "shrub" ? My mother grew it and called it by that name, and I know that it actually is called that by some because I used to be able to google the word shrub and then find the botanical name. Google seems to have degraded over the years and now it just finds just what you would think that would be found googling the word shrub.
The plant that I speak of has a growth pattern "somewhat" like
rose of sharon (maybe) and grow approx. 6 feet and have a distinctive very dark red flower that might not actually be the flower at all. It seems to send up multiple shoots and forms a fairly dense clump.
Would anyone know any alternative names or the botanical name so that I could find the best way to propagate it?
Sorry that I have no pictures...I'm not able to get to the plant at this time.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
Regards,
Tim
