I've been dreaming of the permaculture/homesteading life my whole life. I'm busy living my life doing what I like to do while hoping for the right person to come my way, meanwhile it might be useful to leave some breadcrumbs here and there to increase my chances. I'm looking for someone like-minded that can make a good team and family with me. I'm quite traditional in terms of what I'm looking for in a male partner. As for me, I'm capable and strong (mentally and physically), but I know my weaknesses and in what areas I'd benefit from someone else being there for me.
I'm open-minded and also have strong core values.
Beyond my
permaculture interests and things loosely related, I also love running (I do ultra trail marathons), playing banjo and singing, doing crafty things like sewing, and thinking. I'm a thinker and good intelligent conversation is very important to me. Plus one of you have some sort of technical background like engineering, because then we will be able to speak each other's language better. I have degree in mechanical engineering and have worked in various jobs in that field without being fulfilled by the rat race. I'm currently spending my days volunteering on other people's farms through the
WWOOF organization and mostly learning that many people aren't doing
permaculture much better than I would do if I were to go ahead and start now. So I'm playing with the idea of buying some property and building myself a tiny stone house in the woods (currently just starting learning about stone masonry) and doing some
permaculture stuff of my own. I've dabbled in various permaculture-related hobbies over the years.
Gardening, raising
chickens, cooking/baking of course, but ready to take it all the way.
Hopefully this was a useful ramble in giving an idea about who I am and
enough to get you interested so we can ask eachother more questions.
Oh yeah, I'm from Kentucky and kind of feel an attachment to staying in the Appalachian region, but if you're able to convince me that you're the one, I'm open to relocating.
Happy days to you! Look forward to hearing from someone
