Some email services "protect" you from the internet by putting a special link that deletes all cookies or something when you press a link from your email. Apparently you can change this in your email settings.
It used to be just outlook, but gmail and some of the other emails are being more "protective" with how their users interact with links and the interne
OK. I'm not sure what email setting changes might work in gmail (I looked through them and see nothing about cookies at all... maybe it's a higher level issue i.e. Google). I can live with the little problem, I just wanted to see if there was a quick & easy solution. Guess not!
Thank you.
I don't know what the setting is called. I gave up on gmail ages ago when I found out they were censoring my emails (pre-filtering emails before even junk mail filtering them) and I missed some really important ones.
google announced they are doing this more this year if a mailing list email doesn't meet their specifications, they won't let them through to protect their customers from suspicious emails. My library emails got caught up in this big time. And then there was the month they blocked my amazon emails... (so the rant lasts about 16 hours with two toilet breaks and a snack... just imagine the rest of it)
I switched to proton mail. They let all the emails through and just slap a warning on the suspicious ones.
Perhaps a gmail user might know where the settings are?
