I am sure chickens would devour them, unfortunately we just got laws passed that allow us to have backyard chickens and we are not quite there yet. Every year they come out about this time and get into our basement, dying in some rather inconvenient spots...hoping to make a better environment for one of their natural predators and close the loop so to speak. Any suggestions? Hoping one day to have my act together enough to have a few of those millipede to breakfast converters clucking around the grounds here.

Toads.

How about making your garden more friendly for toads by putting in a water feature and some broken clay pots or pieces of rotting log for them to hide under? Skinks also like rotting logs, and they have quite an appetite for bugs.

Roses are red, violets are blue. Some poems rhyme and some don't. And some poems are a tiny ad.
