Awhile back I stumbled across led flat lights at H.D. costly but interesting. A few months later on amazon I came across a good deal and bought two for less than H.D. wanted for one. Been living with these lights ever since and I can,t say enough good about them ! My 90 year old cabin has never been so bright. They work better than anything else I have tried in 30+ years off grid ! They do work on 110 so I must have one of the inverters on to use them. Recently I discovered (on amazon again..) 4" & 8" round led flush mount lights that are strictly 12 vt , you do have to cut the plug off to wire and use a 110 vt switch if you want it to go off. These little lights are awsome , no heat build up , spring loaded clips to install (no screws) minuscule power consumption. They are very white when you get them, in my case I preferred to paint them a nice gloss black. As with everything these days they are shipping out of china. The original slow boat I think ! The supplier on amazon that is carrying these lights is "led lights store" none of the other suppliers had 12 vt . If you live off grid and only produce small amounts of power than every amp counts ! These lights WORK !

What manufacturer and model number did you buy? Back when I was buying CFLs, I found enormous differences in quality between superficially similar models from different makers, so I'd be curious to know the details. Thanks!

The flat lights were bought thru amazon , the supplier has been out of stock ever since. They are "lighting ever 20 watt led panel light" equal to a 50 watt, daylight white sold by "Neon Mart". At that time they were $77.50 each. The 8" and 4" recessed led panel lights are powered 12 vt direct and are currently still offered by the led lights store on amazon . I really like these small 12vt lites as you can leave them on when the inverter is off,and they are very bright and use hardly any power at all! I don't have model #s and the way they are mounted i can't easily see the tags. When I bought the larger flat lites many manufacturers were available, most had poor reviews. I found the lighting ever brand with positive reviews so I went with them. They also use a tiny amount of power. I have not had any trouble since I bought & installed them in march of 2014 !

Stinging nettles are edible. But I really want to see you try to eat this tiny ad:
