Permaculture A Designers Manual Audibook?

Does anyone know of a copy of Permaculture A Designers Manual in audiobook form free or paid that I could find and download?

I own the actual book but I find that I have little time to read it but plenty of time to listen to audio books so this would be a great option for me as well as for may people.

This would be the kind of project I think we'd need to crowd fund.  Perhaps we could contact the publisher with a copyright proposal.  I'm legally blind and any visual input is tedious, to say the least and heavily dependent on fickle text-to-speech software.  Good to know there might already be a support base for such an endeavor.

This would be an expensive project to undertake.

At a guess you would be looking at least 100 hours of audio, and good voice artists are not cheap to hire. Then there is the post editing and production. I suspect that this would easily cost £10,000 to produce when all is done, and that for a text book that hasn't been reprinted since 1998, indicating that the demand isn't there for it.

I love audiobooks, and listen to a lot of stuff on them, but I can't see this being a good candidate for it from a commercial perspective.

Indeed.  There is also the challenge of interpreting all of the graphical content and tables into an aural delivery.  No simple task from any perspective, but I do feel that demand for this book will revive as Permaculture continues to demonstrate solutions for heretofore insoluble problems.  One can dream.

According to a google search, it appears that there is an audiobook in existence.   Finding a copy might be the problem.  Maybe this will help:

Thank you, Anne!  I'll try to contact the library.  If it's already recorded, it would merely be an issue of getting it legally reformatted to digital audio.

I too would be interested. I have never purchased or read a permaculture book. This is because as I have delved further into permaculture my life has become busier.
I love reading books, but haven't finished a book in the last few years.
I do listen to audio while I garden, however.
