well any of you who have seen my blog photos of my
pond know that I've been working on it for a few years now..and it is getting pretty big and deep..but I have no freshwater inlet.
I have been planning on attempting to put in a flowing well or a
solar or wind pumped well pump to add fresh
water to it when I can afford to do it.
however..$ have to go for other things right now
yesterday my sister asked me "If I disassemble my
pond would you take my fish?"..I said yes and then asked what she would be doing with all of her pond stuff...and plants.
she has a lot of plants and hers has a liner which I don't need, but she also has a bubbler to keep the water open in the winter, a waterfall with recirculating pump and a filter..all of which I don't have for mine..and she said IF she does disassemble her pond she would give me all of those.
I would of
course have to disinfect them so as not to add any diseases to my pond..however..it would be a lot of equipment for free..
her pond is a LOT smaller than mine..so they wouldn't be sufficient to aearate my entire pond, but I'm thinking I could use them in the deepest hole of the pond where larger fish would be more likely to be able to grow..for the bubbler I could put that farther toward the other side of the pond..thus having the watefall on one side and the bubbler on another area..which might give more oxygen to the pond and maybe be better for different fish..even if I don't get the well in this year???
any comments?
