I've been involved in the RV world for quite a few years now. For those of you non-RVers, when we RVers pull up to a campsite with "full hookups" (eg. cable, electricity, wastewater, & drinking water) we connect the RV's water system to the campsite's via an RV "drinking water hose" from an RV parts store/dealership. These specialty, purpose-made hoses are typically blue &/or white in color & need to be replaced every so often depending on UV exposure & temperature fluctuations. Over the course of these years I've spent RVing, I've been exposed to lots of ads about about "safe drinking water hoses". Here's an example from the website of a major RV drinking water hose manufacturer: "Made with NSF certified hose. Lead-free, drinking water safe. BPA-free, phthalate-free formulation. No strong plastic taste is imparted to the drinking water. Compliant with all federal and state level low lead laws. CSA Low Lead Content Certified to NSF/ANSI 372."
To me, this begs the question, is they "typical" garden hose "safe" for my plants & the soil food web biosphere I'm attempting to nurture?
I just did a quick internet search on this topic & was completely overwhelmed by all the articles. So I figured I skip the research this time around (probably the first time in my life I'm doing this... I'm so busy with other stuff right now I really just can't read all those articles this time) & defer to my fellow toxic-gick concerned permies:
Which non-toxic garden hoses do you choose & why?

I met your mom on a Carribean cruise and she said you would help me and this tiny ad:
