Hey Akiva, I would really like that. Your nursery looks awesome, and I am interested in American Chestnuts and hybrids.

Anyone out there have chestnuts, or hazelnuts available for seed? Do you know of a source thats not sold out this year? I finally have nursery space, but was to late on ordering. I will pay or trade for them.

Lately I have been focusing my efforts on preserving fruit (so much hichaya persimmon jam to be made!) and selling it to raise money to plant more fruit trees.

As to the cancer subject, I highly recommend The End of Illness by David Agus. He touches on all of these subjects.

The beauty of kickstarter is that if you don't support a project, you don't have to contribute to it. It's sad that people take the time to criticize those who are doing good things, rather than leading by example and doing it in the way they think is better.

Thank you so much for your response. I should have mentioned that last summer all of my fruit dropped off when it was still very small. I didn't think so at the time, but after researching scales a little more I believe it was the cause. At that point I thought I had ants eating aphids. I guess I will try and remove the scales by hand and try and eradicate the ant problem? I have tried many natural remedies to get rid of the ants, but they keep coming back.

Hey all, Im in Oakland ca zone 9 and having problems with scales, and of course ants on a young dwarf lime tree. Looking for alternatives to buying something. Any home remedies for scale treatment? Is the treatment different depending on what type of scales they are?
