To get pawpaw seeds to germinate clean the fruit around them, wrap in a paper towel, and put in an opened plastic bag in the freezer for the winter. Plant in the spring and they should germinate.

I have one pawpaw around 8 years old. I would like to find it a mate so it will bear fruit but I understand you need two from different varieties?
Any way I can tell what variety mine is?

I am building a 20x8' greenhouse.
I'd like to get a light to supplement the sun on cloudy days.
What kind of inexpensive lights do people recommend?

Can someone recommend what type/size of ventilation system and where a good online place to buy is?
I assume I need an intake vent, an outtake vent, and a controller which turns them on when it gets too hot.

I have a great lifestyle, I love my homestead and I get to work at home in a quiet place in the country. The house is a farmhouse built around 1900, there are 80 total acres, mostly wooded but with some pastureland, lots of old log houses on the property, inground pool...

My homestead is one of the most important things in my life; most of my hobbies and free time involve improving the land and buildings in some way, restoring the log cabins for example.

Currently I lease out my pastures. I have a small conventional garden and a few fruit trees but I would love to develop the land into more of a working farm. However I don't have the time, energy, green thumb, to do this, hence this post.

I would love to find a partner who is interested in gardening/permaculture/running a B&B/horses.
Women with children are fine.

I am a liberal yankee, non religious, non smoking, athletic, animal lover (not vegetarian though).
