In another thread I have been told that in some areas it is impossible to live a "permaculture lifestyle".
What does that mean?
A backyard permaculture practitioner that is making an effort to supply a portion of his/her food would that be a "permaculture lifestyle?
Do I have to produce 100% of my food?
When am I a permaculturist?

I know I am late to this but I think if your getting caught up in saying your doing it, your not actully doing it. Just forcus on living and say you are doing it.

Hello everyone. My name is Harold Hicks and I had a little idea to help people out. Something I have been wanting to do for a very long time is to go backpacking but I only recently been able to do so because of rent. Rent is one of the most painful to anyone's wallet and that includes nomads as well. So why not have a commuity(ish) home. I was thinking if I could buy a house of a family of 4 I could have 8 people stay in that house for 1 year charging 100$ rent. Rent mainly for taxes.

The rules of the house would be
- Can only bring a what can fit in abackpack, clothes, and camping gear.
- Must share a room.
- Must show 1,000$ in saving per month (within reason. Sometimes things happen)
- Must have at least a Passport
- Must maintain a job
- Each person can only stay in the House for 12 months, beginning at the start of the year and ending right after Chirstmas.

This helps and forces Nomads to get use to having less and save money they will need in order to travel to whereever they need to be. The rules are a little lose but I will work them out as it goes along. I have created a gofundme asking for a little 1 million dollars not just for the house but also to hire a maintenance and secruity for 1 year also, not to mention taxs.

If this is something that you think could help people please share it and of course if you have any comments or conserns or rules you think I should add let me know. I am open to hearing your feed back and am hoping this will be a great way to help some people.

The location of the House will be in Kansas.

As much as I would like to give you reasons to believe in me, I can't. Like you I am just a normal man trying to do something good in the world and leave a postive foot print that might be able to live on after i'm gone.

I hope you all have a great year and thanks for reading my post.

Hey I am Harry. I am a 25yr black male 5'10 who enjoys baking and farming. I consider myself buddist but dont follow all the pratices strictly. (I do shave my head now) Willing to relocate, dont own land. My goal is to own my own homestead and get off gride. Idealy I wouldnt work and would just sell bread at the farmers market out of handmade oven. I'm strong and not afrid of the work. I can adapt to almost anything but there will be times I just need time to myself. I hope to be able to build my own Cob house thats connected to the trees in some way or using the trees to hide it in a mystical type fashion. I am currently volturing at a commuity farming project to learn how to grow up its winter here in Kansas so it's shut down till spring. If you want to know more about me just ask. I am a friendly guy but come off scary sometimes when I don't mean to be

I own a car but it cant leave my city because I blew the front headgasket so I cant drive it longer than 30 mins. For this reason I can't drive 40mins to a hour to the next city over that has tons of greet camp sites that are for free. Also Id like to keep my job because even know the pay isnt the highest it gives me insurance.

So I need to find someone locally who is willing to let me pay them 50 to 100$ (or free labor) a month to let me camp out in their backyard or extra acra. Any ideas beside walking up to doors and asking.
