Yes it has been.
I apologize for that just me and computers don't get along very well. Emfs really bother me.
That's too bad about the rental stuff. I thought it was a great idea. It's pretty important to me that they get this so I'll buy it for them.
Thanks for all you do.

Greetings!!...I signed up for the 177 hrs of 2017 PDC and ATC...and have now determined that the internet connection here in BFE east TX where I am sheltering in place...just can’t support streaming anything...AARGH!!

So much for the great idea of learning all of that good info while I can’t leave the farm!!

Might I either put my order on “hold” until this zombie apocalypse is over so I can get back to civilization...or get a refund and I’ll sign up again later??—providing IF this will still be offered at a later date....??

I just did a search for "will amazon refund video rental"

And google says:

You can get your money back on an accidental Amazon Video video rental or purchase as long as you don't start watching it and cancel within 24 hours of buying it.

So you bought your rental 14 days ago and I can see that you watched more than a few minutes.

......

From my perspective ....   I thought we would do all the work to make rentals happen and then there would be hundreds of people renting and it would be all autopilot stuff.  Instead it has been just a handful of people and ... because I make myself so available, lot of people want to talk about lots of variations.

Oof.

So now I need to figure out what our policy is for this odd circumstance.  It seems that industry standard for this case is to say "no".

Further, refunds are so rare that our system has no refund mechanism built in.   I have to do it all manually - and it takes a while.

...   how about this:  I shut down your rental and give you an epub copy of my new book?

Hello! I purchased this and now cannot get back to the watch link despite trying both of my accounts and both desktop and phone. Any suggestions or other ways I could try?

I did some research.

I discovered that my previous analysis to try to solve your problem was errant.  What you bought was Permaculture Voices 1, 2 and 3 117 hours of video.

Hi there,

I have been checking out the permies ecosystem for a few days now and want to get the PDC/ATC courses!

Is there any chance you would accept cryptocurrencies? Would rather avoid my personal information going through Paypal.

Please and thank you for the amazing efforts, hope to attend in person one day soon.

Crypto has been weird.  So far, people have sent bitcoin, but connecting the coin to the person has been a little weird.  One of these days it would be good to set something up.

Which crypto do you have in mind?

It can be a little weird, I am happy to show you some self-hosted crypto payment server that makes it easy to create invoices for people. There's a few I have in mind, I'll do a proper introduction with more info through email!

Funny, after so many years I hear that name again.  Viktor Schauberger.

Oh man, you really scratched an itch I couldn't reach. Once my eyes glanced
across that name ... immediate paydirt.

So this is the bloke behind the bio plough/golden plough that turns soil twice
so that the soil layers get deposited back in the order they first started.

BRILLIANT.

You have no idea how much googling/duckduckgoing about ploughs and not
finding this ... the only one in existence and thus not available on Amazon.

Hi Paul,

I'm a bit upset about the communication of how this 177 hrs of video content was advertised. No where did I see on the options that this content was only available temporarily for the $65 purchase. How can this be limited, and how can this be "live-streamed" when the content is from 2017? The jargon ATC and whatnot wasn't helpful or clear for new people on this forum/purchase page to know what they were actually buying. As far as I knew it was a zipdrive download (and those are permenant). So please explain what I actually bought?

If I cannot get my access back (which I only got to watch an hour of content), then I would like my money back. Couldn't have cost you much to have a download transferred via a Paypal to me. I wanted to recommend you to others (since I'm a fellow  permaculture enthusiast wanting to be independent of the energy tycoon etc...) but I'd like this cleared up and explained before I do that.

Sorry this isn't on the happiest tone, I just feel like I was robbed.

Yours sincerely,

J.Dillman

Jacob,

   - the $65 product does not have an expiration

   - your account appears to have never purchased anything

the transaction ID you provided maps to a whole different person, with a whole different email address.  That person also has a permies.com accoun, and THAT person does own the 177 hours.

So - it would appear that nobody was robbed.  All is silky smooth.

I don't know where to ask this question, so please excuse me if it is in the wrong place.
I was looking at the offer of the 177 hours through the TSP website.
I do not understand the different offers.
The one I would most be interested in is the $65.00.
How does this work? I have really bad internet and travel where there isn't any better.
Can I down load these when I can so that I can watch them later or do you have to watch them on the internet.
Thank you:

Gary, thank you for your message!

The $65 product is for streaming only.  If your internet connection has trouble playing youtube videos, there is a chance this won't work well for you.
Lots of people have internet limitations, which is why we offer the download options - so you can download it when you are able and watch it when and wherever you choose.

Hope this helps!

from email:

Recently I made a purchase of the PDC and ATC Courses and am unable to
access.  Please see the details below.

I think the problem may be that I was not logged into Permies when the
purchase was made, I made it from a link on one of Jack's posts the
other day.  Maybe the easiest solution would be to refund and I will
repurchase while logged in.

Thank you for your time in this matter.

Matt

Hello,

I made a purchase of the PDC and ATC Courses, however I am unable to
access.  There is no "My Stuff" under my profile.

Looks like the purchase was made with the following email address:
m**************8@yahoo.com

My login email is: z*********s@gmail.com

Emails are linked in my profile.  Not sure what is wrong.  Please advise.

PayPal transaction ID was: **************

Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out, Matt.

I looked at your account, and indeed, you have both of your emails linked to your permies account, which is good!  Step one, complete.  You are right, though, you do not have access to this product in your ledger.

When looking at the product transactions, there is one that matches the time on your purchase receipt, which was made by an account that has been closed and has no data associated with it.

Let me run this by our developer, because I haven't seen such an occurance before.  If things check out, I will merge the closed account with your active account, which should restore your access.

Matt, our developer had a look and worked some magic, so it looks like you're all sorted now.  You should be able to access the PDC/ATC content from your ledger.

As a "thank you" for your patience, I've also given you a digital copy of Paul's Building a Better World book.

Voila! Enjoy!

Beau, I do now have access to the location of the 177 hours of video forum from "My Stuff".  However, when I click on any of the (4) links to access the private forums I receive the message "ooops.. You don't have sufficient privileges to access this forum."

Thanks for your message Matt, I'll get you sorted.

It seems that when someone purchases this item, they are automatically given access to these forums.  Since your purchase went awry and we added you manually, the system didn't add you to the forums.  I've asked the people who can get you in there to have a look and will get back to you shortly.

A question from The Survival Podcast website:

Brian wrote:O.K., there is something I don’t understand here. What are the real differences between the 3 purchase options of $65, $200, and $300 if one can view any of the content at any time in the future? Does the $65 version have a grainy video and substandard audio compared to the hugely more expensive other options? I’m willing to spend the extra money if I really get a lot more for doing so.

Hey Brian, thanks for your message.

The $65 product is streaming only, meaning that the files are not downloadable, and you must have an internet connection to view.

The $200 product allows you to download small video files.  The quality is still good, just think of it like a resolution that would work well for your phone.

The $300 product allows you to download high definition video, appropriate for computer, tv, and other larger format viewing scenarios.

I hope this helps.

It seems that

The guest checkout option will be shown based on your preference whenever possible, however PayPal will make a decision to not allow guest checkout in some circumstances depending on a varity of details e.g. customers browser, cookies, locale, IP etc.

Further reading illuminates that sometimes when guest checkout is disabled, it is due to geographic location. There are also some instances where paypal may turn off guest checkout for a certain card or ip address after a certain number of guest transactions.

This is not usual when paying on permies, but it does happen from time to time.

You can try different cards, devices, and locations, but it's entirely up to paypal.
