Greetings!

We are blessed to live on 30 acres in the Ouachita Forest.  Half our land is field and the other half is forest.  We have a house that we are not living in that needs a family.

Our vision is a family with kids that will stay in the house long term.  In exchange for the house and use of surrounding land, the family will fix up the house.  Of course there will be the mutual benefit of helping neighbors (us).

A quick rundown of us: We are in our fifties, and it's only the two of us.  We've been here 7 years and have come to realize permaculture isn't just a 2 person project.  We are conservative and believe in the Golden Rule.  Our farm consists of chickens, ducks, goats, bees, dogs, and cats.

The closest town is 20 minutes away.  The closest city is just over an hour.

If you are interested, send us a pm and we will send you more details.  Ask us questions.  Is there anything that's a "deal breaker"?

Hi Miss Dianne,

Have you found a family for this arrangement? We have sold our property and will be starting to make our way to Arkansas in 6-8 weeks if there are no unforseeable issues in closing. We might possibly be open to trading work and help for a place to lay our heads while searching for our piece of the pie and (if that were to be nearby), helpfully loyal friends after we purchase a property. The loyal friends part is a shoe-in though because the more the merrier. Especially when they share our faith.

We are very interested in learning more!
Please contact me at kareneheard@gmail.com

I am new to this site and permaculture. But my husband and I eager to get into it. I’m taking a 10 week permaculture course and this sounds like a great possibility to learn more.
Thanks!
Karen

I'm very interested in doing something like this, please let me know if I'm qualified I'd rather speak to you over the phone.. it's hard to tell a persons character over text.

Check your pockets for water buffalo. You might need to use this tiny ad until you locate a water buffalo:
