Does anyone know of any permaculture farms in the sacramento or yolo county areas? I'm looking to visit some examples of working farms with a permaculture approach. I've heard that someone may be starting a farm of this nature in the Auburn or Grass Valley area, but haven't been able to find any information online.

Hey Michael! I am in Sacramento too! I occasionally volunteer on a 40 acre farm right outside Davis and Woodland. They aren't quite completely perma-culture but they are organic, practice poly-culture, and are very open to perma-culture principles. The main restriction for them is time to experiment and the money to do so. They are currently growing black locust and are working on a pond for possible aquaculture. They operate a you pick it and are very open to visitors. Let me know if your interested. Also we should get together for some coffee/tea one day to talk perma-culture I'm so excited to know there are other permies in my area.
