So this site provides people the opportunity to solve problems for rich people. When you solve those problems for them, you make money. Who better to solve
sustainability based problems than
permaculture minded people?
You have to sign up to see all of the problems people have posted, but it is free to do so. The specific challenge I think that someone here could possibly solve is "Safe containment or processing of human waste in emergency situations". All someone has to do is write up a plan of how to go about doing this on a large scale and submit it, and they can win the 15,000 dollar reward if the company offering the money likes your ideas the most. Now I know close to nothing on this and this will probably show my ignorance on the matter, but couldn't you just use a whole bunch of
carbon (say like sawdust) to cover up large amounts of waste, and then take that waste to a spot where any rain wouldn't leach anything out into drinking
water? I don't know if that's even logistically what they want. Maybe they just want you to build a magic wand that turns
poop into playstations or something. The submissions are due by July 3rd if you want to write something in. That would be fun for this community. Someone makes a ton of money AND helps people that need it most. Go
