Good morning from Nova Scotia! I just joined this forum. I have an interest in permaculture, having always been interested in gardening. I may ask stupid questions, so I apologize in advance. HIya!

Welcome to permies!
There are more and more of us popping up from around the Maritime provinces. I'm in central New Brunswick, so a bit farther. I'm hoping once travel is more accommodating, I'll be able to meet some of the permies across NB and NS.

That's exciting! I currently live in Ontario, but will be moving to Nova Scotia in a few years. What part of Nova Scotia are you? What's the weather/precipitation like there? What do you garden?

I live on Cape Breton Island near the Bras D'Or Lakes. I used to garden a lot more than I do now, but want to get back into it. I recently planted some asparagus in a raised bed  (in the fall! ) so am looking forward to the spring to see if they survive. Climate is moderate, not too cold in te winter. Of course this is relative to Northern Ontario, where I used to live. Very damp most of the year, except summer can be hot and humid for a few days. we are in zone 5b.
