ok- I made up a new recipe thought I'd share
I been on diet- cut way back on carbs and meats so
Sunday breakfast and lunch was lots of veggies and some fruits
but had crazy craving for carbs for dinner
anyway her it goes---whole wheat cornmeal pancakes---they came out surprisingly fantastic
I don't often use measuring devices but this is real close to what I did

1/4 to1/3 cup whole wheat flour
add equal amount of corn meal
1/4 day to 1/3 cup. corn meal
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon raw sugar
a couple good shakes of pink salt
2 eggs or 3 eggs if using the 1/3 cup flour
enough water, milk or cream to make it so it pours right for pancakes or waffles. start with a little and add more till you can whip all ingredients up with a spoon in the mixing bowl

full disclosure I had no milk or cream so just used water

I guess you could add other stuff----- like----- maybe molasses , some people like sour cream, blueberries--anyone?  once you get comfortable with making basic recipe

cook in waffle iron or cast iron pan maybe with real butter

if you want to be real decadent
I guess you could top with real butter and maple syrup
or maybe just syrup
or peanut butter goes good with real maple syrup
whatever your pleasure
hope you enjoy
