This slide show is by David Montgomery, a geologist, who wrote a great book called "The Hidden Half of Nature". It shows how farmers can make more money, improve their soil instead of degrading it, make more money, and spend less on problematic inputs with biochar based permaculture.  No audio, so you kind of half to connect the dots. I highly recommend that book.

This is from a site called US Biochar, which you can just find on the web. Lots of different research papers and slide shows on it.
