Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations on a broadfork (30” maybe?) for targeted aeration of parts of my lawn. Well, for now, hoping to eventually get into in-ground beds.
So looking for something really sturdy, not too expensive, and preferably readily available in the US.
I don’t have the chops to build my own, so purchase is the way to go here.
I have a Meadow Creature broadfork that is all steel and it is outstanding. They aren't cheap, but I've had mine for many years and you could pass one down to your grandchildren. Really excellent tool.

I have a treadlite broadfork. They're made in the US, and their customer service is great. Not cheap though. I bought one with wooden handles at the recommendation of a mother earth news article saying that the lighter wood handles is better than heavier metal, and regretted it after breaking a wooden handle off trying to get through our rocky clay soil. A friend is moving and recently brought some garden materials to store at our place for a few years and I used his broadfork (he bought the treadlite after I shared a link with him, but he splashed out for the metal handles) and they're way sturdier, so I bit the bullet and bought metal handles (which also have a lifetime warranty if that matters at all) for mine.
