Saturday night when I was 24... go out, play some music, maybe sit in with a band, have a few drinks, try to meet girls.
Saturday night at 44... cooking burritos for me and my dog, dislocate shoulder stretching in a doorframe.

Hahaha!
It was the buritos that caused it.
At 24 I my Sat. was generally spent maintaining my racing sidecar with the odd night away from the shed.
At 44 it was the same
and today
at 72 the same occurs although I do get some daylight hours to spend on it as well!!

Saturday night at 24: coming home from work to chase my toddler daughter & pre-schooler son around, play a bit, and read them bedtime stories, all of us fast asleep by 11pm.

Saturday night at 44: waiting for John to get off work, pick me up, and go back to his apartment, for ehh... 'Netflix & chill" until the wee hours

Saturday night at 54: John and I hop on our respective Harleys, and ride all over the western Chicago burbs, til after midnight

(Saturday night at 58? After riding those same bikes around the Missouri Ozarks, come home, milk the goat, collect the eggs, and process animal fibers, and fall asleep by midnight - I work harder in retirement!)

At 24  constantly looking for a soulmate then running around in the wilderness with the boys instead.
At 72.95  Perpetually filled with intestinal gas and still running around with the still
living "old goats".  Gave up on dating.  Toooooo expensive!  A typical weekend.

I like this.
Saturday night at 24: Either getting dolled up on the one night I was child free just to come home disappointed in it all. The dating game was/is a real bummer.

Saturday night at 37: Freedom. No games. No expectations. Every night is Saturday night now and I’m grateful.
