Looks like a bee fly to me. If it is they parasitize solitary bees, there part of nature so best to leave them be.

Not likely, I've intently observed bee fly's myself, bee fly's are kinda like larger gray fuzzed version of mosquitoes.
This one truly intrigues me, this is my goal in identifying unknown wildlife

I agree it is a Fly, I have not seen them in a long time. But I remember them around the Cows and they would actually live in the Cow Manure. I would see them crawling around in that and then they would grow wings and fly on the Cows. I am 99% positive of that, But still no name.
