Hi Looby,
Your book looks very interesting--I had not heard of it before. Any chance all (or part) of it might be available as an audio book? I have very little time for reading these days, but listen to audio (such as Paul's podcast) during my daily 2 hours of commute time. So here's your chance to displace Paul.

Which brings me to my question: with a family (wife, two kids), corporate job, commute, church community, etc. there isn't much time left to connect with nature and other people. Several friends are interested in Permaculture, but we all have this same problem. Each family is doing what they can within current constraints, but I wonder if you could give a word about breaking out somehow to get a little more traction. I dream that we and two other families could find land and somehow do permaculture together there, but currently we are all too taken up with our current situations. How to get started?

Thanks!

Hi Kerry,
not sure how or when it will become an audio book - will pose the question to my publishers.

One of the visions of this book is that it finds ways of making permaculture accessible, relevant and useful to everyone and not just those who have or want land. So this includes making it useful in our jobs - whatever they are and helping us to be more effective. In our families and how we can use permaculture to help us as parents. In our home environments, our health, our creativity. You are certainly not the only one who has wanted to do more land permaculture but not just managed it, but I believe that we can use permaculture in our everyday lives and thinking and find benefits for ourselves and those around us that we care for. This is the heart of the peoplecare ethic.
And when we are able to pay more attention to ourselves then we are in a better position to connect with our dreams and visions and move towards them whatever they may be.

"pay more attention to ourselves"

would you expound on that?

As if that wasn't enough, a dog then peed on the tiny ad.
