I'm building an earth sheltered tiny house in the Austin/Buda area. Currently, we're infilling the walls with cob and light clay straw. I'm organizing some half day work parties in August if you're interested in lending a hand and learning about natural building wall systems. We'll provide lunch and afterward we can tour our timber frame light clay straw cabin and t-brick cob shed. More details and a signup sheet are on our website.

Here are some videos about the build. You can find more details on our website.

Hi Aaron - I missed the window for the work parties, but I'm wondering if you foresee any help being needed this fall or winter.  I will be traveling, likely through the Austin area, specifically with the goal of work trading to learn more about natural building.  This sounds like an awesome project and I'd love to help however possible. I'll be traveling in my teardrop trailer, so depending on time of year/climate, I might be able to provide my own housing if you're interested in longer term help. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks so much.

Hallie

Hallie, I sent you a PM. Here's a video recap of work parties:

We'll have a couple of plastering parties mid-October. I'll post dates pretty soon.
