One of the things I like best about my day job is that it leans so heavily on my primary and preferred learning style of OBSERVATION. That's probably what sucked me into
permaculture as well, as a system and planning foundation. Plus animal care, learning, and behavior are just fascinating topics all around to me.
I am a dog trainer by trade, and I run a small day program as well as teaching privately. Self employment offers all sorts of pros and cons and it's not for everyone, but I can't imagine being content working for others again.
