Bonjour! I'm heading to Paris soon for one of my art shows and I'm looking for seed groups or botanic gardens in Paris that are dedicating crops to early French settlers of North America in the 1600s to the 1700s where they once settled. I am concentrating on the Illinois Country and New France right now as I research things that fit these time periods. One of the plants I know is the Jesuit pear and anybody heard of that fruit tree before? If you haven't, It was grown in New France between Detroit and Winsor centuries ago. Are there any museums that focus on French settler history and their agriculture? I'm focusing on the ethnobotany and agriculture of the French and I need serious help in identifying places that are dedicated to French ethnobotany. If anybody has anything, please let me know. Au-voir!
