The land is purchased and in a couple of weeks base camp will be purchased too.

If there are people that are interested, there is a canvas tent with a wood stove there and we are looking into a tipi. There is talk of having animals on the land as soon as tomorrow. The gates have been closed and the local through traffic is now discouraged.

It seems that some people are ready to head up and bond with the land.

I do think that for this first month, it will be limited to people that have listened to at least 30 podcasts.

I am currently able to come out to the land for just a day at a time - so far.

If you are interested in being up there for three or more days in a row, speak up and let's get things arranged. Who wants to play?

Glad to see it finally happen. If I lived closer, I would certainly want to spend some time there. Quite excited to what happens next.

What is the timeline for a visit? Can we come in July? Also, I'm building a relax shack for two people. I would be willing To donate it to the land for temporary shelter for future guests with a caveat that I can use it when I sign up for a future workshop.

Finally, a Huge Congratulations on the land purchase.

I'd love to come up some time in June for some work and play.
Jocelyn has my contact info, from the request for First Monthers.

On the phone with Paul right now. Talking about el bañjo/die Toilette...and so many other things.

This first month of camping (late May to late June or 30 days from May 20) is a bit different than the "first monthers" who I was imagining would come out in July for more meaty projects and trial periods (though not official workshops yet).

This first month of camping thread is about the getting set up, pretty raw initial stuff.

From Paul:
--There is an 80% chance there will be a trac hoe there within the next week.
--And a 99% chance that the pooper will be completed in the next 30 days.
--There is a 90% chance that construction on the first wofati will begin in the next 30 days.

Private message me for a more concentrated and/or organized work week(s) aka trial period aka exposure to more pod people or potential community folks.

Plan A is that construction on the first wofati will begin before July 1.

Tipi will be here in the morning. Anybody wanna set it up?

Might be purchasing the trac hoe tomorrow morning. They deliver. It would be great if there could be somebody on TL to receive it.

It sounds like Jacob will head out there on friday morning, set up the tipi and stay out there through the three day weekend. The tipi hold six people.

Anybody else?

Hi Paul, what great news. you are a permie warrior. I believe, at the time, it was an email from a vaguely familiar name Paul Wheaton, who informed me about the about the PDC in Dayton I attended last year. I don't often check your dalyish emails so I am just now realizing your land purchase. I am in Missoula and wish to help asap especially with the wofati. I haven't found the post about the actual location. I can commit to 1,2,3 days from here on and am set with tent, food, water. I look foreword to your reply.

Looks like we hadn't yet replied to your cool offers of help.

If you want to come, send me a private message with
(a) what you're looking for - help-and-learn, trial period, etc. and a little about yourself;
(b) how many podcasts you've listened to (currently asking for 125 or more) and
(c) your e-mail and phone number.

This. Exactly this. This is what my therapist has been talking about. And now with a tiny ad:
