Hello from the Northeast!

Hi, I'm from the Northeast part of the US.

I'd like to tell about how I got here and what I hope to accomplish. I found this book about a $50 dollar underground house [ here ] and watched a video someone made about the author of this book [ here ] and got to permies.com. The maker of the video found the idea of having an underground house somewhat distatestful and that's his opinion. However, I _love_ the idea of living underground.

What I've always had a hard time finding is some remote corner of this country (as long as there is no permafrost under me) where I can build such a base. The base requirement is that it's somewhere cold (Montana is one option, I hate the heat/humidity) and there are no taxes on my land.

That, to me, ladies and gentlemen, would be paradise.

By the way Mike Oehler, the author of your book is looking for someone to help out at his place if you really want to get info first hand.

Also the guy who did the video runs permies ! He is using some of Mikes ideas and adding his own to build WOFATI's. You will find that info there too.

Sadly you will have to pay taxes no matter where you are. You can however prepay it.
